We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager for People with Special Needs to lead and coordinate support efforts for individuals with physical, psychological, or social challenges. This position requires strong leadership skills, empathy, and the ability to work across disciplines with staff, clients, and families. As a service manager, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that support is delivered with high professional quality and in accordance with applicable legislation and municipal guidelines.
You will be responsible for the daily operations of one or more residential facilities, activity centers, or home-based support services. This includes staff management, budget responsibility, development of professional initiatives, and collaboration with external stakeholders such as social workers, healthcare professionals, and volunteer organizations. You must be able to motivate and develop employees, ensure well-being and job satisfaction, and foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and collaboration.
Furthermore, you are expected to have insight into the needs of the target group and be able to translate this knowledge into concrete initiatives that enhance the quality of life and autonomy of the individuals. You must be able to handle complex situations, make decisions under pressure, and ensure that the rights and wishes of the individuals are respected. Documentation, quality assurance, and evaluation of the support provided are also important aspects of the job.
